Fall 2020 Programs -
Manheim Central 3rd-6th Grade Youth Field Hockey League
The Manheim Central Field Hockey Program is excited to announce that we will again be having a youth field hockey league this fall! Last season was our first time having a youth league and it was a great success. This year we are extending our teams to include 3rd-6th graders. These teams are open to anyone living in the Manheim Central School District. Our mission is to grow the sport of field hockey in Manheim, teach the fundamentals and have fun while doing so!
*All of the information below is pending approval for youth sports in Manheim to occur. We will be following protocols given by the Manheim Central School District. The information given is preliminary and is subject to change based on the conditions of COVID-19. We are sending out this information in advance to gauge the amount of players we can expect to play youth FH this fall.*
The youth program will run from September 1-early November with practices being held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-7:00 at the Doe Run Graybill Fields. Each girl will need a stick, shin guards, mouth guard and water bottle.
We will be offering 2 different payment options for the program-
Option #1 - $50. This option will offer Tuesday/Thursday practices with 1 tournament at the end of the fall league. Girls will also receive 2 t-shirts and 2 pairs of socks.
Option #2- $115. This option will offer Tuesday/Thursday practices with 1 tournament at the end of the fall league along with participation in the Mennonite Sports Organization. Girls will play other teams from other schools on Saturday mornings. Games will be played at the turf field at the Lancaster Mennonite High School campus. This option is recommended for players who want a more competitive experience.
**Payment is not required until the first day of practice.**
This program will be organized by our 2 new youth directors, Steph Rada & Marci Krell. Additional coaches will assist during the season.
